Telemedicine – Effective and Safe

Is telemedicine effective and safe?

Absolutely—and the research backs it up.

A 2022 study from Yale School of Medicine concluded:

“Telehealth is just as effective as in-person care in improving quality of life, symptom control, and overall patient satisfaction” for patients receiving palliative care.
Yale Medicine News, 2022

Another comprehensive review published in Frontiers in Public Health examined telemedicine’s role in chronic disease management and found:

“Telemedicine was associated with improved access, enhanced health outcomes, and high patient satisfaction,” particularly for conditions like diabetes and hypertension.
Frontiers in Public Health, 2024

These findings reinforce what I see every day in practice: telehealth is a safe, efficient, and highly effective way to deliver care—especially for common conditions that don’t require in-person evaluation.
